SFJAZZ is recognized as an international leader in jazz writing, speaking and education. It explores a variety of jazz, from the music's origins in the African-American community to its diverse expressions around the world today. In addition to introducing its annual season, San Francisco jazz festival and summer conference, SFJAZZ also supports the vibrant local music scene through Hotplate events and free summer concerts at the Stanford shopping center and Levi's square, and develops aspiring musicians and performing ensembles through various educational programs.
