About Sandi Garris
They first encountered the world of color and design in 1981 through textile painting, which instantly sparked their love. Sandi Garris later switched to painting because of the limitless creativity it allows, but they kept their connection to fiber by using silk as their canvas. In many ways, it is a harsh canvas. Sandi Garris beautiful iridescence of the completed painting, in their opinion, makes the endeavor worthwhile even though mistakes cannot be removed or painted over. They am a self-taught colorist, therefore the principles and concepts of color theory have never restricted them. They spontaneously combine and employ colors that make them happy while they are working. The limitations of realism are also not applied to the images they create. Instead, they see an abstract illustration of the remembered scene in their mind's eye.
