About Katharine Watson
Katharine took formal printmaking classes at Kenyon College, where she developed an appreciation for the art form as a means of incorporating her designs into everyday objects. She and her ally Joe moved to Washington, D. C, after graduating in 2009, where Katharine accepted an internship at The Textile Museum. She launched her own brand shortly thereafter from their one-bedroom apartment, creating as much as she could from her creative workspace, a dining room table. Katharine jumped headfirst into trade shows, exhibitions, and craft fairs to build her brand. Her company Katharine Watson was initially founded on sales and in-person events. Katharine Watson has since progressed to an independent online store, numerous licensing projects, custom design work, and wholesale accounts all over the world.
