About Saffron Nola
The Vilkhu family's lifetime of love for food and culture has resulted in Saffron Nola. After serving the New Orleans community with a catering business for 26 years and a pop-up restaurant for 6 years, their James Beard nomination for Best New Restaurant in 2018 was well-earned. Saffron Nola, now in its second year, continues to win praise for its food and warm hospitality. Arvinder and Pardeep Vilkhu, a husband and wife team, had the idea for the vision. Their journey from India to New Orleans inspired them to combine the joy of their Indian heritage with the ingredients and customs of New Orleans. Saffron's menu is primarily Indian, but Chef Arvinder's experiences have influenced it worldwide. Saffron's culinary-focused cocktail menu was created by Ashwin Vilkhu, Head Chef & General Manager, following in his father's footsteps. The food and beverage menus feature spices and ingredients that are similar, resulting in a cohesive guest experience and elevated takes on standard cocktails.
