About Red Lake Nation Foods
The Red Lake logo of the Chippewa Indians is a symbol of their country; their sovereign state. Design represents a lot of things. The shape of the upper and lower Red Lake has always been their trademark because of its unique shape and what it means to them: fresh water and food (white eyes). This circle represents the powerful "circle of life" for them and countless other tribes. There is no end to unification. Trees signify Red Lake Nation Foods's dependence on them. They provide them with shelter, transportation, warmth and many sense of belonging to the land. The feathers of the eagle are also a powerful symbol of their tribe. The heartbeat of the eagle echoed in the drums of almost all tribes. The clan symbols from left to right are bear, tortoise, bighead fish, mink, eagle, mink and kingfisher. As a Native American-owned company, Red Lake Nation Foods is committed to producing unique products that represent their cultural heritage for the benefit of more than 10,000 members of the Red Lake nation.
