Red Friday's organization is committed to providing education, tools, and training for military personnel, first responders, and their communities to identify and respond to psychological injuries caused by stressful experiences at work, often referred to as operational stress injuries or OSIs. Funding for these projects comes from community and sponsor-led initiatives that allow First Response organizations to choose from a variety of projects and services organized by them to meet their unique mental health needs or to apply for grant funding for external projects and services and in addition to providing services and organizing community support, Red Friday is a local, regional and national mental health advocate. One of their main mission goals is to eliminate the stigma associated with mental health problems.
