About Pizzeria Mandara
It began over 60 years ago when a young man named Alfonso Mandara left his native Italy in search of something more and came to Brooklyn to work in a mozzarella factory. After years of hard work and savings in 1960 he signed a piece of paper that would change his life and that of Pizzeria Mandara forever, and the opening of his first pizzeria became his favorite story and the beginning of Pizzeria Mandara family legacy. Little did he know that the American dream he thought was already realized would soon be far beyond his imagination. The hard work and drive he taught his sons and the encouragement and opportunities he gave them would grow into the family business they have today.
