Two staff members will pick up food donations from 8am to noon on Monday, 6 July. They will not be serving meals on Monday, July 6, so volunteers are not needed. Tamar Centre is accessible to all guests. Update: Volunteers at their Daily Bread tested positive for COVID-19. Given the vulnerability of the people they serve, Our Daily Bread is their top priority. On June 29 solstice on July 6, their daily bread was temporarily closed for meal preparation. All employees and volunteers who come into contact with the volunteer are (or will be) tested, but unfortunately there is a 24-72 hour waiting period for test results and they can't safely reopen until they are sure their team is healthy. Our Daily Bread has an emergency backup plan in place. Tamar Centre has agreed to serve meals to guests and their volunteers will line up to serve meals to Tamar Centre.
