About Ome Banjos
Greetings from Ome Banjos. A small, family-run business, they are known for producing outstanding Bluegrass, Old-time, Irish, and Jazz banjos. Since 1960, the models and designs they currently offer have developed and been consistently improved upon to produce the best possible tone, playability, lifespan, beauty, and value. Ome Banjos uses finely chosen, meticulously air-dried, and expertly matched woods. The neck, rim, and resonator of the majority of models are made of vivid curly maple, which was chosen for its excellent tone, adaptable robustness, and exceptional beauty. On many Vintage and Professional Series instruments, responsive South American mahogany comes standard, and special orders of North American walnut and Indian rosewood are also available.
