Eppley Airfield, also known as Omaha Airport, is located three miles northeast of downtown Omaha, Nebraska. It is the largest airport in Nebraska, with more arrivals and departures than all other airports in the state combined. The airport is a medium-hub airport that served over 4.5 million passengers in 2022. Seven airlines provide approximately 60 departures per day to 30 nonstop destinations from Eppley Airfield.
The terminal building of Eppley Airfield was opened in 1961 and was designed by James C. Buckley, Inc. Concourse B opened in 1970 and was remodeled when Concourse A opened in 1986. The Omaha Airport Authority was created in 1959 and is governed by a five-member appointed board. It is responsible for the sole jurisdiction and operation of Eppley Airfield.
