March Countdown — 45% at No Mar

In 1978, Nomar opened its doors as Mitchell's marine canvas and upholstery. At the time, Homer had a population of about 2,000 and Alaska was founded less than 20 years ago. Alaska-There are only 300,000 people on 8 million square miles of land. No Mar is not really a trailblazer. The reason they chose Alaska as their home was based on personal freedom and great fishing. Check out some photos from Ben's expedition in Alaska. A converted GMC school bus is their shop, a heated barrel stove and a manufacturing commercial sewing machine are enough to open the door. With a little talent and healthy courage, No Mar nurtured the first business until it grew to 16 diverse and talented employees, numerous sewing machines and 10,000 square feet of work space.
