About Pippa & Julie
In the 1980s on Long Island, founder Fran had an idea. A very fashionable idea. She had no experience in the fashion industry-but she did have passion, confidence and talent. So Fran started her own women's clothing line, and soon Pippa & Julie was born. Fran named the company after two inspiring girls: one is the optimistic protagonist in Robert browning's poems and the other is her own daughter. Fran is good at beautifully dressed knitwear. She has successfully sold her elaborate style to boutiques all over the country. Every piece of Pippa & Julie was designed in New York City and influenced by its hometown, from the iconic delicacy of Park Avenue to the Bohemian style of Greenwich Village. Retro inspiration also plays an important role in its design. Many of its contours, fabrics and details are influenced by the fashion past, so as to re-imagine each piece in a truly modern way.
