About New City Press
From the beginning, the first purpose of New City Press was to publish and promote books that would promote greater unity in the world. They are one of more than 20 publishing houses related to the Focolare movement. Established by Chiara Rubic in 1943, Focolare started from a small community in Trent, Italy. They felt called to realize the unity of Jesus praying to the Father: "Let them be one body" (John 17:21). New City Press is a member of the Catholic Publishers Association located in Hyde Park, New York, Luminosa in Mariapolis. It is an affiliate member of Nuova Global. Nuova Global is a global initiative to support the development of media organizations and news activities in response to global challenges and solutions to promote common interests and global humanitarian development.
