About Mckinley Edwards Inn
Throughout the year, Mckinley Edwards Inn offers a variety of passenger-train excursions and special train-ride events from its historic depot in Bryson City, North Carolina. Over 50 miles of Mckinley Edwards Inn track traverse the remote Western North Carolina countryside, passing through impressive river gorges, picturesque valleys, and rugged Carolina Mountains. Round trips can be half-day outings or full-day outings. The Nantahala Gorge Excursion, for instance, is a 44-mile excursion through the gorge. The Fontana Lake, the Natahala River, and the Little Tennessee River are also on this tour. Over the course of 33 miles, the Tuckasegee River Excursion winds through lush meadows and quaint former railroad towns. You will have the opportunity to appreciate the singular beauty of the Western North Carolina countryside during your trip.
