Match ash is handmade by artisans in northern Italy. Each piece is made of lead-free alloys of tin, copper and antimony, and is FDA certified for food safety. Ash changes color very slowly and requires little maintenance. Wash your hands with warm detergent in warm water. Be sure to dry the wax thoroughly, as letting water dry on the wax may cause spots. Any spot that appears can be easily removed by polishing or rubbing the area gently with a small, one-piece motion with a very fine "0000" wire. Match Pewter It is recommended to use a liquid dishwasher soap, which is washed and dried at the lowest temperature. Please allow your utensils to cool before handling them. Please note: If you have hard water (water with high mineral content), Match Pewter does not recommend using a dishwasher, as elements in the water may cause your white wax to fade or pit.
