The mission of Mark Twain House and museum is to foster appreciation of Mark Twain's legacy as one of their nation's cultural figures and to demonstrate the continuing relevance of his work, life and times. Mark Twain House lived in the house until 1917. They leased the building to Kingswood school for the next four years.
