mapsofthepast quickly jumping all over an intriguing business chance when it combined efforts with Guides of the Past. Guides of the Previous, a family-possessed business laid out in December 2002, was outgrowing one family to make due. The entire family got involved when the company started, combining David's extensive knowledge of historical maps with the computer and marketing skills of family members. The family was mistaken to think that copying historical maps would be easy, but they soon found out that was not the case. They immediately added a printing and graphic arts specialist to complete the team after discovering that no printing companies were capable of producing high-quality reproduction prints of their fantastic historical treasures. Additionally, mapsofthepast invested in the best graphic arts software and wide-format printer that was available. Maps of the Past, a joint venture with BR Internet, boasts cutting-edge equipment and methods as well as years of experience restoring and producing crisp, full-color reproductions of vintage prints and posters.
