About Maidstone Engineering
Terry, an engineer by trade, startedMaidstone Engineering in 1980. He knew what Model Engineers in the area wanted and made the products, especially the materials, to meet those needs. By the end of 1988, the company had outgrown its Hedley Street home and continued to thrive. Terry needed to find a bigger location, and it just so happened that Maxitrak, a regular customer of Maidstone Engineering, was also looking for more space. Since Maxitrak moved across the street to 10/11 Larkstore Park from 4 Larkstore Park, their previous location became available, and MES moved in. Even though it was eight miles away in Staplehurst, the new home, a modern industrial unit, gave MES a new lease on life, and the range once more grew.
