Louie'S Tux Shop was founded by Louis and Stella Basinski in their garage in 1948 at 222 Laurel Street, South Ben, Indiana. For 20 years, Louis and Stella have been operating outside their garages, providing formal clothing to the South Bend community. By providing quality products at fair prices, their customer base has expanded and their business has expanded. In 1968, Louie'S Tux Shop moved to a 2700-square-foot retail store and warehouse at 716 Lincoln West Road, South Bend, Indiana. Over the years, the retail store has been transformed to its current size, covering an area of 15000 square feet, with more than 6000 dresses and complete dry cleaning, laundry and cutting facilities. Today, it has 16 branches in northern and central Indiana and is still owned and operated by the Basinski family. All locations offer a complete selection of designer goods as retail enhancements, wedding accessories, wedding party gifts, and wedding stationery.
