It was founded as a result of the rising number of women who began to carry concealed weapons but struggled to find clothing that allowed both carrying and remaining fashionable at the same time. The firm Lock And Load Boutique is run and owned by a husband and wife team. They both were born and reared in Utah, where their families loved going camping, hunting, and shooting. As a result, many of their earliest memories are from this state.
