About Larkin Books
Larkin Books was conceived October 28, 1850, in Chester, Delaware Region, Pennsylvania. At the age of 19, Larkin became a Christian and felt called to preach the Gospel. Larkin Books believed that the Gospel ministry was God's calling for him. He had joined the Episcopal Church when he was converted, but in 1882, when he was 32, he converted to the Baptist faith and was ordained as a Baptist minister two years later. He immediately transitioned from business to ministry. Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, was the location of Larkin's first charge; Fox Chase, Pennsylvania, was the location of his second pastorate, where he served for twenty years. Larkin was not a pre-millennialist at the hour of his appointment, however his investigation of the Sacred writings, drove him to embrace the pre-millennialist position. Larkin published a number of prophetic charts during this time, which were widely distributed.
