Laguna Playhouse is a historic Equity theatre located in the enchanting art colony of Laguna Beach, California. Founded in 1920 as a community theatre, it is one of the oldest continuously operating, non-profit theatres. Laguna Playhouse was named "Best OC" by the OC Register in 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015. It is a member of the Resident Theatre Alliance and often offers stage and screen stars an upscale lifestyle, pristine beaches, fine dining and numerous artworks, all within a few minutes of the theatre to Laguna Beach. In addition to theatrical performances, it also invites a variety of performing artists on its Moulton stage throughout the year. It also sometimes invites children and adults to participate in special programs designed for younger audiences. Actors of all ages share their talents through the Laguna Theatre Youth Theatre. Actors from the Laguna Theatre also visited local schools whose educational work was recognized by the American Theatre and Education Alliance, Orange County Arts and the Orange County Department of Education.
