With an interest in antique textiles, La Prestic Ouiston started designing one-of-a-kind garments in 2005, which she then solely produced in her Parisian studio. Laurence, an autodidact who made her works independently, titled her creation La Prestic Ouiston after her two childhood dolls. She rose to prominence quickly among an international clientele enamored with her opulent craftsmanship. In 2009, LE BON MARCHÉ in Paris had not one but two exhibitions devoted to her work. The company grew and introduced its first luxury ready-to-wear line in 2010. Made in France, it's crafted entirely from high-quality, organic materials (silk, cashmere, wool and hemp). The subsequent collections have kept up the excellent quality. Limited editions, they feature a combination of vintage components and skilled handwork.
