Hilltop Ski Area owned their first ski school and rental facility in 1986 after they had a donated ATCO trailer. In 1997, platter lifts were installed daily together with night lighting to support night operation. In 2000, the people voted to sign a long-term 30-year lease with the city of Anchorage. They have held snowboarding competitions in more than 90 countries or regions. In 2020, the city of Anchorage extended the lease through 2030 by exercising the original lease extension. That way, the store can continue to serve you until 2030.
