Heaven Hill Farm has come a long way since it was founded in Vernon, New Jersey, in 1982. At the foot of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, the 365-acre farm was purchased by the Theobald family from local cattle farmer John Fox in 1961. The Theodor family raised beef cattle in the late 1970s, when the beef business became unsustainable and they sold the beef cattle. Demand for fresh produce, flowers and plants grew, the retail industry added greenhouses. Heaven Hill Farm's farmers' market features homemade ice cream and Italian ice cream with locally grown fruits and vegetables. Their bakery offers homemade ready-to-eat baked goods, including pies.
