After working for Broadway producers in New York City for many years, Kristen Curry moved to Naples and founded Gulfshore Playhouse because she saw a niche in the local art world and could create a professional, self-produced Regional theater to fill this niche. She is determined to hire the best professional actors and designers from New York City and across the country to bring the Broadway Quality Theater to Naples. In 2006, they premiered its first full production: Olenana starring Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet, starring Tony nominee Alan Campbell.
