Great Lakes Theater Know that it all started with an empty auditorium and a group of citizens concerned about it. The lobby is fixed at a public high school on the outskirts of Lake Wood. These citizens are members of the Lakewood Board of Education and they want to provide cultural supplies to the auditorium during the summer months. Great Lakes Theater Knowing that in 1961, Lakewood Board of Education Dorothy Till persuaded a wandering Shakespeare Company to use the Lakewood Civic Hall as their home. The troupe was founded ten years ago at Antioch College by a then English professor named Arthur Litgo and has been wandering in Ohio. His son, actor John Little, called it "Johnny Appleside of Shakespeare," and he was a senior little boy specializing in bards.
