June 2026 Deadline — 20% Fontana Village

Fontana Village was initially built as a town for the laborers and their families who came from all around the nation to build the Tennessee Valley Specialist Fontana Dam. Development of Fontana Dam started in 1942 and was completed in 1944. The dam was built to supply control for the war exertion at the Oakridge, TN Atomic Office and to alleviate regular flooding within the more noteworthy Tennessee Stream Valley. Found at the foot of the mountain underneath today's Fontana Village, the dam's guest center records more than 100,000 visitors each year who come to see the structure, the biggest dam east of the Mississippi Waterway. The dam is 480 feet tall and extends 2,365 feet over the Small Tennessee River.
