About FARO Airport Transfers
As the southernmost town in Portugal, FARO Airport Transfers enjoys a unique position in Portugal to offer a variety of fascinating tourist attractions. It has a long and rich history, and Phoenician, Roman and Moorish cultures are still everywhere in the city, providing people with interesting and unknown things. It was once called Osonoba, and initially attracted settlers and merchants since the Paleolithic period due to its location near the Ria Formosa Lagoon. Many people settled here and fortified a settlement long before the Romans transformed it into the town of Osonoba. FARO Airport Transfers became the seat of bishop in the 4th century even after the Visigoths occupied it in the 5th century. These Germanic descent ruled the city until Osonoba was occupied by the Moors in the 8th century, although the area was allowed to retain its status as a major port city in the southwestern Iberian Peninsula.
