About Eliza Thompson House
Built in 1847, Eliza Thompson House provides a private, quiet retreat for visitors, away from Savannah's historic attractions. Eliza Thompson House consists of 12 rooms, 12 of which are located in the "main building" and 13 rooms in the "carriage House" overlooking the courtyard. The hotel is one of the most enchanting boutique hotels, including a brick garden courtyard and beautiful moss trees. It is located on beautiful Jones Street, just a block from Mrs. Wilkes' famous restaurant, and a short walk to Forsyth Park. Lush greenery and moss-covered crepe peach trees complement the courtyard's focal point: a flowing Ivan Bailey fountain. The Japanese koi has a small swimming pool at the bottom of the fountain and delightful benches, tables and chairs in the corner, providing a few places to spend a slow afternoon in Savannah.
