Dreamers Books newest neighborhood comic shop, bookshop, and coffeehouse can be found just steps from Patterson Park in the thriving Highlandtown Arts District. Despite having close to 50, 000 people, this Southeast Baltimore neighborhood has never had a bookshop. The closest comic shop is 45 minutes away by bus, and there are actually neither bookshops nor comic shops in the whole 21224 area. Owner of Dreamers & Make-Believers Miranda Nordell, like many others, resorted to books during the epidemic. But it turned out to be harder than anticipated because the library was closed and there were no convenient bookstores around. After a year of having trouble getting hold of new books, they learned that Dreamers Books still had trouble finding stuff like middle-grade graphic novels.
