This house, an old mauch Chunk millionaire's mansion built in 1888, still has a lot of its amazing history thanks to details like stunning hand-carved woodwork, jeweled stained glass windows, a grand staircase with a gas-lit newell post, and an Italianesque mosaic entry floor. Presently a fine motel, Dolon House includes the workmanship, collectibles and assortments of forty years of movement by landlords Jeffri and Michael. Inviting, agreeable and rich alongside all the help and conveniences you would expect, your visit to Jim Thorpe will be unique. The living room, also known as the double parlor, is warm and inviting, and it is just waiting for you to untie your shoes, prop up your feet, make a cup of tea, open a bottle of wine, or whatever, and unwind in front of a variety of Dolon House favorite antiques, art books, and paintings.
