Bernandino, Marcelo's great-grandfather, arrived in Pampas, Argentina, where he farmed soybeans, corn, and cattle. On that property, Marcelo grew up, and it was there that he first developed a passion for and commitment to agriculture. The Doffowines family's love affair with bikes can be dated back to Marcelo's early years in Argentina, where he initially developed a fascination with the imported European motorcycles that were then becoming well-liked. Midway through the 1970s, Marcelo immigrated to the United States and eventually founded Doffo auto body with his brother, Jorge Doffo.
