In order to keep traffic tickets from being documented, and as a lifestyle-heavy individual, Mr. Bruce looks online for an alternative to traditional classroom-based defensive driving courses. He looked for an approved online course in Texas but was unsuccessful, so he started doing it himself. Mr Bruce worked with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulatory to develop guidelines for online delivery methods. After a long approval process, Mr. Bruce received formal approval. Subsequently, Defensive Driving acquired and installed production-grade equipment, which will become the backbone of the site and began operations in February 2000. During the first year of operation, Defensive Driving certified its 100,000th customer, and the company has grown rapidly since then. Its mission is to provide the industry's most educational, highest quality products, and to provide superior customer service for these products.
