About DC Tours
Visit the DC Tours to learn about the influence of black people in American history on national construction. Your trip will consist of a professional guide and a local Washingtonian with over 20 years of experience. On an air-conditioned bus, you will visit Frederick Douglas's home, take a walk in the square, and stay in the visitor center for a while. You will also tour the historic area around DC Tours and see the statues of Mary McLeod Bethune and Abraham Lincoln in Lincoln Park. Other historical attractions include Howard Theatre, Dunbar High School, U Street-Former Black Broadway, Howard University and Mary M. Bethune for the House of Black Women ’s Committee. This trip will also stop near the White House, where you will hear stories of African Americans who built it and worked there.
