Cupboard Distributing is located in the center of Ohio and is a very unique business. It all began in 1986, when a family accident prompted the owner Chris and John Horthy opened a small business, to pay for some fees. To their surprise and delight, people can enjoy their wood grain and handicrafts, are these items they sell by mail order from home, so the company took off. After receiving hundreds of requests and a few surprises from visitors, they decided to open a store in historic Urbana, Ohio. Starting with a small store in the charming downtown plaza in 1987, the company moved to larger and larger stores around the city until it finally settled in 2003 in a warehouse of more than 8,000 square feet just outside the city's southern tip. Since then, Cupboard Distributing development by leaps and bounds, continues to expand to other product lines.
