The Crankworx is a multi-stop series of mountain biking events that brings together the greatest riders to compete at the highest levels in a range of events. It started in Whistler in 2004 and has since expanded to become the biggest mountain biking event of its type. In addition to professional races, amateur competitions, a division for CWNEXT competitors, the next generation of racers, Kidsworx competitions for their youngest riders, participatory events, and celebrations of mountain bike culture, Crankworx festivals also feature races in amazing locations. The hardest competition in mountain biking is the race to become King or Queen of the crankworx World tour. In an epic test of a rider's talent and will, this season-long, multidisciplinary challenge tallies results across events, disciplines, and World Tour stops. Athletes compete in races from the Southern Hemisphere to the Alps and Whistler, Canada, in an effort to accrue as many points as they can in an effort to win the $20, 000 prize. Who scores the most wins.
