About Cording
Cording are an arranger and piano player, and compose traditional music in a style called New Lyricism. You may not be know about that term, but rather odds are you've heard music in this style and enjoyed it. A Music is both apparent and melodic, yet contemporary. They've seen it portrayed as a re-commitment with resonance. While there may not be agreement among the experts about what to call the style, Cording favor New Lyricism since it's sufficiently engaging to be effectively perceived, yet not so prescriptive as far as possible. It doesn't harken back to a previous style the manner in which neo-elegance or neo-sentimentalism did, yet it is obvious from the name that it is a response against both the academicism of the atonal style and the mechanical repetitiveness of moderation. Once more they are entering a period where it is alright, perhaps chic, to compose music that is both delightful and engaging.
