About Como Town
Since 1949, a four-acre site near the Como Zoo has been able to enjoy rides. Como Town As part of a larger plan to improve Como Park, the city of São Paulo sought new ideas in November 2003 to redevelop the entertainment district. Lancer Hospitality was owned by two-city residents, Glenn Baron and Steve Craver, and was awarded a contract to redevelop the amusement park. The entertainment district brings additional revenue to the city of São Paulo to support the operations and attractions of Como Park. The new four-acre playground, Como Town, opened in May 2005. The park is located at 1301 Park Avenue, Midway, 1/2 mile west of Lexington Park Avenue in St. Paul and Horton Avenue. Como Town is one of the most popular attractions in the area, attracting 1 million people each year to São Paulo.
