ComfyComfy is a micro-enterprise founded by Maggie Wong of Maryland, USA. Maggie came from Brunei, where she grew up with a buckwheat pillow and learned to sew. Since then, she has remade her childhood pillows with her own sewing technique. Maggie founded the company in 2011, when she was the only seamstress. As the demand grew, the company got help from other craftsmen. The buckwheat pillows were sewn by Finney, a seamstress from the North Division of New York State. The pillows were sent to Gail and Jeff, who cleaned the pillows and filled them with buckwheat. The custom pillowcase was made by Mathilde, who learned to sew when she was a little girl in Germany. Maggie still sews a flaxseed pillow herself. Her husband Art filled the cards. ComfyComfy is managed by Claire and Eric of New Hampshire.
