About Cafe Des Amis
In 1988, Bill and Emmanuelle Betham, opened Cafe Des Amis in their sixteenth century building. While going to Mexico, they were propelled by the remarkable and energetic cooking and the Mexicans' affection for celebration. Realizing that there was something else to Mexican food besides stew con carne and chimichangas, Bill who was at that point a cook and had recently worked in Paris, Sydney and Durban found the genuine Mexican fixings, explored credible recipes and made the menu. Emmanuelle who is French concocted the name Cafe Des Amis as she needed to add a component of French bistro style to the eatery and right up to the present day, the menu actually draws impact from French cooking and bistro culture.
