About Boston Harbor Islands
Boston Harbor Islands is a national park consisting of 34 unique islands and peninsulas, each with its own place. Explore a historic fort, enjoy a picnic with an expansive sea view, or sleep under the stars at a rustic campsite. Choose an island you like and start planning your adventure! Boston Harbor Islands is partnership driven! Eleven different agencies make up the park partnership, a federal legislature that manages Boston island national park and state parks. This park partnership is part of what makes this park truly unique. Several members of the partnership own and manage the islands or parts of them, while other agencies and nonprofit organizations support the park's activities through oversight, financing, planning and planning. These organizations work together to support the education, recreation, and quiet solitude of national and state parks in an integral part of a city's life.
