About Bob Tomes Ford
Bob and Barbara Tomes began selling fords outside the Dallas area of McKinney on January 17, 1983. Bob Tomes Ford opened their doors on 3. 8 acres of land with 16 employees and about two cars. As McKinney grew, so did the demand for ford cars and trucks. In 1988, Bob and Barbara transferred their distribution rights to the current six-acre site. Bob Tomes Ford now covers 16 acres with a new and used car division, a service and parts division, a fast car center, an expanded rental center and a crash repair center. The success of the Tomes dealers can be directly linked to the large presence of Bob and Barbara Tomes in the Dallas-area community. Barbara began volunteering at the McKinney community concert association. She served for five years on the board of directors of the Collin county boys and girls club and was President of the heard Craig center.
