Bedkingdom is a local family business with a history of excellent service and provides you with beds, mattresses, bed frames and sofa beds of various sizes, styles and colors, so you are only one step away from a perfect sleep! It was founded by Laurie and Peggy Harvey in 1963. The first store is located at 86 High Street Yvracombe. In 1974, Laurie and Peggy's biological son Martin joined the company as an apprentice assembler. At this time, Bedkingdom employed 12 employees and had a good customer base throughout North Devon. Martin's son Jack has now joined the company as the third generation of the family business. In 1976, the company purchased the building adjacent to Kings carpet to sell beds and furniture and launched the Bed Kingdom brand.
