About Bass Pecans
Since 1906, Bass Pecans has provided pecan trees for pecan gardens around the world. Their root Max™ container planted pecan trees utilize a proprietary germination system and use special containers for active root growth. This agreement allows perch pecans to grow excellent trees. Bass Pecans also provides fruit trees, oaks and other plants to provide sustainable vegetation for wildlife habitats. For example, they provide Allegheny Chinkapin. Allegheny Chinkapin is a sprawling shrub or small tree with a mature height of up to 20 feet. Its leaves are similar to Chinese or American chestnuts, only smaller. Allegeny Chinkapin nuts are thorny protrusions about one inch in diameter. It performs best on well-drained soil in full sunlight or partly cool. Whitetail deer and turkeys particularly like nuts.
