Baseline Flowers is a family-owned and operated business that Hiroshi Nick Nakagawa started in the 1950s. They are a part of the historic Japanese Flower Farms of South Phoenix, an area where seven Japanese American families farmed vegetables and flowers following World War II. The family used to farm vegetables and flowers, but they eventually sold much of the land and now import a lot of flowers from all over the United States. During the 1960s and 1970s, the many acres of flowers blooming in the desert, just miles from Phoenix's center, made the area a popular destination for tourists. They are the last flower shop from that era that still exists today. Baseline Flowers is a full-service florist and gift shop where premium floral arrangements are hand-delivered. They think that flowers bring happiness to people's lives, help build relationships, show love and support, and celebrate and remember the special moments in life.
