About Barn Dinner Theater
Barn Dinner Theater franchise was conceived in the 1960s by Howard DE Wolfe and Conley Jones Sr. , founders of the dinner Theater concept. Greensboro opened in 1964, the first of 27 eponymous dinner theaters. Barn Dinner Theater show was first performed in Wolf's studio in New York City and then sent to theaters. In the early days, actors in each show not only performed on stage, but also served as underwriters for pre-show skills. During the production, they lived in a living room above the theater, in a small room with Shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. These residential areas still exist, but over time they now use them as ticket offices, group sales offices and changing rooms. Their staff and actors also appreciate the division of responsibilities. Today there are two more places: The Barn Dinner Theatre in Greensboro, North Carolina, and the Barn Dinner Theatre in Chaffin, Tennessee.
