About Baker's Edge
Matt manages every aspect of Baker's Edge, but he is essentially an inventor. Using his education and professional experience in design, art, and economics, he developed the first prototype of the Edge Brownie cake in the late 1990s. He later worked with his wife Emily to improve the pan, patented it, and then decided to bring the product to market. Matt graduated from Ball State University with a degree in economics and urban planning and is a member of the school's cross-country team. (He's pretty quick, at least that's what he says.) Matt is also an alumnus of the "Best and Smartest Indy" and "40 Under 40" list of Baker's Edge, The list recognizes the achievements and contributions of young Indianapolis professionals. He holds two patents and one is pending.
