They at ASOROCK WATCHES, whose name is derived from the breathtaking mountains in Central Nigeria, have a passion for watches and a desire to make a lasting, positive impact on the African continent by being the first global luxury watch brand to originate from Africa. They set out to eliminate the high retail markups of well-known brand names when they were founded in 2018 by young entrepreneurs and watch enthusiasts Ben Iroala (Nigerian American) and Andrew Mutale Zambian American. They were dissatisfied with their limited options as a result of the high markup prices of well-known brand names, as they are avid watch enthusiasts themselves and have been obsessed with watches all of their lives. ASOROCK WATCHES also felt like their collection was never complete, which is a problem that all true watch collectors can relate to. Even more troubling to them was the lack of any watches made in Africa, their ancestral homeland.
