ART Station has been established for 33 years and provides quality arts programs to the community. The organization was founded in 1986 by art director David. It's made up of artists from the community, government, business leaders and so on, and eventually it's made up of the contemporary art center and the theater company. The founding group completed a multimillion-dollar campaign to buy and renovate the historic barns of wheelbarrow cars into a modern art center. ART in ART Station’s name is from trolleybus in front of the building in 1913. Built in 1913, the building is the terminus of the Atlanta to stone hill tram system, known as the Atlanta bus rapid transit, and was renovated as a multidisciplinary arts center.
